Well well I've finally discovered something worthwhile. Tek7 is a polymer sealant, cheapish and half the price of sickening flex and available in builders merchants everywhere. It works in the wet, in the dry, even underwater.

I resealed the rudder bolts with it, which have weeped despite a professional job being done on them previously. Now the boat is Bone dry. Did a weeks cruise crossing the Irish Sea twice in big swells at times and no problems at all!

Tek7 Is the yachtsmans dream come true. Cheap reliable works in the wet saltwater resistant and eAsy to get hold of.

I'm pleased as punch, as if yea hadn't guessed

I popped into a builders merchant and they had shelves full of the stuff. Half the price of sick flex and the job didn't have to be dry for it to work. As we were doing a job drying out between tides this was of overwhelming importance.
