Has anyone out there got any experience of buying and fitting these simulated teak decking materials?

I have heard that tek-dek is good and fairly? easy to lay, anyone tried it out?

Was easy to cut, trim and lay on my bathing platform

Only problem is the ducks sit on the platform in the marina and their s--- has bleached the colour of the plastic.

Spoiling the crabber for a ha\'pth of tar

Ugh! Gloria's "kingplank" has been omitted and instead there is a kind of alternating weavy pattern where the planks meet on the boat's centreline. Criminal! See 3rd last pic.

Re: Spoiling the crabber for a ha\'pth of tar

Sampan, I gotta say it looks pretty good in these pics. Would like to touch it/feel it.

Much depends on installation though. The black caulking around the edges on that Cobalt 36 were yuk messy. More important still is the choice of cut lines. The cobalt 36 was utterly spoilt imho by bad choices of cut/caulking lines. The Ron holland 43 was much better, proper kingplank cut etc (though I'm not sure about the saw tooth cuts at the aft edge of the side seats in the cockpit, either side of the wheel.... but I'm splitting hairs I suppose, as the rest was very pukka)
