Dont know if youve seen this from yesterdays Daily Mail?

Particularly like the paragraph some way down:
"When was the last time a cruise ship carrying hundreds of German tourists, still smarting over the defeat of Hitler, docked at Teddington, which is 68 miles inland and can be reached only through a complex system of locks?"

Mustn't let accuracy get in the way of a good story, eh?

Well to be fair to the average journo, working out when to arrive to get through Richmond sluices / lock without running aground would probably seem quite complex!

We have had a plaque on the end of the lock building commemerating Dunkirk for at least the last 8 years ....

Along the bottom of the plaque are the 4 sets of initials of the people who were present when it was unveiled .... they are ....

RK BT MS and ........ JE ...

Contrary to the report , it does in fact mention 'The Second World War' and 'Victory'

The Daily Wail

"I'm sure CJ didn't get where he is today by using 'inappropriate' language. he belongs squarely to the ranks of guilt-ridden guardianistas who hate their own country and constantly attempt to deny, rewrite or erase our history, while bending over backwards to indulge the hatreds and prejudices of 'oppressed minorities' such as bloodthirsty Muslim fundamentalist headbangers"

Blimming heck,so as well as not dredging, not cutting back trees, letting liveaboards run riot, deliberately and wilfully allowing the Thmaes to flood at inconvienient times and not providing decent summer weather the EA is a hot bed of third columnists.:)
