Dose anyone know the size of the thread on the balancing jets fitted immediately under the burner?

I am rebuilding a Shipmate stove, using new taylors parts, as I hope this will make getting spares easier in future, and have got two of the connecting nipples without the threads cut for the balancing jets - easily sorted if i know what thread i need to cut...

I have found www.base-camp.co.uk very good as supplier of spares for my Taylors stove. They may not be able to answer your question in the form you put it but maybe can supply any parts you might need to get around the problem? HTH.

If you can measure the outside diameter of the thread and the pitch, you can get the size and thread system from Tracy tools Ltd's website, if memory serves well. They can be found at www.tracytools.com or in real ife in Brixham. They specialise in taps and dies for an amazing variety of threads. It may be an obscure system like the Brass Threads.

Taylor's use a lot of Optimus parts so it may be worth getting in touch with Base-Camp.co.uk who do a lot of old Optimus bits without the price premium.
