Back in the late 1960's or early 1970's I worked for a boat manufacturer called Teal Marine. The boat building yard and offices were in a small north west town called Heywood, between Rochdale and Bury. The boats were small, fibre glass motor cruisers. The owner of the company was Fred Childs (Child?), I remember one son named Tony Child(s), he was the younger son, can't remember the older son's name. I believe they moved to the Isle of Man at some stage, but I moved away from the area in the 70's. There is a man called Max Cornforth who used to race their boats and I did a Google search on him. There is a Max Cornforth owns a garage in Altrincham in Cheshire, he could be the same person, Money-Save I believe it's called. He could possibly know what happened to the company if he is the same person.
Best of luck and hope I've been of some help.
