If you cannot find any, then consider buying some teak veneer to bond onto some marine plywood. Most comes in sheets, and some is preglued with a heat activated PVA glue. Plenty on offer on eBay or via specialist veneer suppliers.

Can't see Smiths have teak plywood listed. Robbins is £354 + VAT for 8 x 4' 1/4" thick. I am thinking about getting some delivered by them to Titchmarsh Marina (just in case anybody wants to order/share delivery costs).

I have a pack of 9 leaves of 2.8mm teak veneer, 2.8m x 140mm £150 if interested in going down Concerto's suggested route.

thanks Harvey38. much appreciated. I suppose once prepped you varnished to get the finish in your photo?
Yes.

I cut the plywood pieces to size, veneered them then glued and screwed together. I have some big sheets of Sapele so I used a router to get the shape of the edge mouldings then cut them to the finished thickness on the table saw, an electric chop saw then gave me accurate 45 degree cuts.

A quick rub down with the grain and five coats of Epifanes two pack for the finish.

It's been a long process, the first two mock ups were made from MDF and I've yet to add a very nice custom made switch panel thanks to @petem 😊

Just in case anybody does want stuff from Robbins, a friend at Titchmarsh is going to Robbins with his transit to pick up plywood, said he would be happy to pick up for others/sharing diesel costs etc, and deliver between Colchester & Ipswich. Likely to go in February.
