Teak table, cappings and cockpit seats

Currently got weathered and a bit dirty table/cappings/seats and rails etcam going to give a good clean and wondered about oil/sealing

This product by starbrite
looks good, and I wonder if anyone has used it?

Thanks

I've used all sorts of oils and stains on teak and by far the best has been the Starbrite Tropical Teak oil. Excellent product, not the cheapest but worth every penny.

Not a big fan of starbrite they a bottle for everything.
Don't use oil, I've tried it, looked great for a few weeks. It attracts dirt and grit that sticks to it and then fades.
By far the best thing I have used and still do is Semco, google them they are a small specialised company. When you use their sealer after cleaning it gives teak that new natural lookand feel , not that just oiled look. It lasts a whole season if done properly.

Get it clean and try the International Woodskin on the cappings, seats and rails. For the table, clean it and apply several light coats of teak or danish oil and polish off with fine steel wool. DO NOT DO THIS LAST THING ON THE BOAT! If you do tiny pieces of steel wool will fall and then stain the deck with rusty marks! We did the 6x1 inch teak toerail and the cockpit surround with it in March. Due to the wet weather and family bereavements we only did two coats, but it looks great. Table was done three years ago and needs doing again. Good Luck.

looks good...
Whenever there is "Unique special extra super Teak Oil formula" it's probably waste product from refinery that couldn't have been used as diesel fuel.
Get proper boiled tung oil or products based on it. There is no such thing in the universe as 'teak oil' :p Dilute it for first treatment with 50% of thinner (if there's choice use kerosene, mineral spirits) so to impregnate deeply - for the future. Then less for next, final two undiluted. Or use some kind of hard oil varnish for last layers.
For cleaning wood the simple bleach (chlorine) if needed, as for steel wool - use stainless steel or bronze wool. What wood this is, btw?
