Does anyone know where I can get small quantities of teak (or possibly iroko) in the Solent area? I need slats about 2" to 3" wide to re-plank a stainless steel framed swim platform and various other offcuts

You might try http://www.arthurschandlery.co.uk/ in Gosport. They have a loft above the shop where they store lots of off cuts that were apparently purloined from C & N skips by the previous owner(s).

Hi boatmike, by great good fortune I happen to have a baulk of Virgin Iroko for which I no longer have any plans.

Sawn dimensions are: 150cms x 21.5cms x 9cms, from which one could cut a lot of slats. Available adjacent to Hamble Bridge on A27.
