I use teak oil on my toerail which works pretty well. Usually if you keep on reapplying it comes up fine. Over the winter some bits go black where water has been lying. I usually resort to sanding/scraping these bits. Does anyone know of a solvent which will remove this the easy way?

i think you should try and arange some means of allowing water to escape so the teak soen't go black rather than try and cure it later - is this possible? A hole in the toe rail frexample. Usual two-part teak cleaner and bleacher should restore it tho but praps not for ever.
