I'm fitting new floorboards in my boat, teak and holly, I was going to seal the whole board with epoxy first then varnish, is this the way to go? Previously this area was floorboards and carpeted, so I have no experience with this type of floor, any assisteance would be appreciated.

There's nothing to stop you doing it that way - you'll need to get the epoxy on flat and key it before the varnish. Personally for internal floor panels I just use three or four coats of one of the new diamond varnishes - they are easy to apply and extremely hard wearing. The last time I did it was about 5 years ago and they still look perfect.

OK, seems like I will epoxy the back and edges, sand and apply one of these "Diamond varnishes", next thing where do I get this diamond stuff? Or whats it called (trade name) Thanks for the help.
