Inspired my MapishM,s Passerelle fix it post I think I solved a longstanding problem .
Anchor ball fixation

Boat came with all the regulation kit , ERIB , life jackets all 16 diff sizes and an an anchor ball .

If we are on the edge of a pack and lights fading I like to use it esp in busy areas .
I know most are probably not fussed .

You can see the issues from the pic of the foredeck.

So I crafted a kinda stocks out of teak and remodelled the base of the anchor ball , put a hole in one side so,s the through wing nut bolt threads .
Finally it’s string wrapped under completes the security.

Feeling chuffed I then tackled the tender chocks , improving on the original s by mortise jointing some cross pieces to prevent it tipping .
Also contoured them to the hull of the tender using a template .
Made sure the fwd one was higher so it naturally drains with the bung out .
We like a clear none toe stubby bathing platform.

Sorry poor connectivity for direct pic uploads

next mod will be to fit a telescopic ram to the anchor ball so that it goes a bit higher, I tad low it is now, no?
:D

cheers

PS. I also have the anchor ball as part of the regulation kit, never used it, I do turn on the anchor light at night though :)

Yes a lot of regulations kit .
I have a radar detector in a box under a saloon seat .Ticks a box for jobs worth I guess .
I need to work on a similiar way of fixing that , thinking end of the Passerelle and stick it up ?
