What's the best way to maintain my teak decks (laid a year ago) ?
I have treated them from new with Semco which is expensive and meant to maintain the rich golden colour but despite twice yearly recoats has now gone patchy and I am inclined to leave it and let it weather naturally. I would have preferred to maintain the warm brown tones of the new teak, but not if this involves endless maintenance. Am I right in thinking that if I do nothing but wash it with soapy water I will end up with an even ash grey colour?(which I like). I have been told that if I use teak oil the wood will eventually go black (which I don't like) What do you use?? ideas?
