Well done TCM, seems like yesterday I was having a beer with you in St Martin and you've crossed the Atlantic twice since then.....showoff.:p

Cheers

And Zahara - a Sadler 29 - finished last night. Well done to Ron and Larry. I don't think 22 days is bad going in a 29 footer.

Understand they sustained rudder damage fairly soon after leaving the Canaries and had a 36 footer riding shotgun for them. Great performance. I got back to UK on Monday (having finished on the 9th), leaving St Lucia (31degC) arriving Gatwick (01degC). Hope the Sadler guys make the most of the sun.

I think you're thinking of a different Sadler. The boat with the broken rudder was Starfire and wasn't part of the ARC. See here. Zahara was crossing as part of the ARC.

Ah! that would explain it. Got an email from my skipper who is still with the boat in SL and I guess he got them confused. Still, a great effort by Zahara. A particular interest for me because we had a 29 some years back.

Hey Sam, so you got home in one piece after that marathon drink up, you sure looked rough the next afternoon. I think we need a rerun. BTW i do hope that you have decided to pack up guitar playing!

Its me, Rob from Titchmarsh, I was the only good looking one on Mojomo!

What a laugh, loved every minute of the whole race, oops, rally.
