The drip rate on my Taylors diesel heater (gravity feed model) slows down and has to be re-adjusted every five minutes or so. It is NOT an airlock, faulty thermo-couple, fuel blockage or faulty needle valve. Increasing the flue length doesn't help either. Any ideas? It's driving me nuts!

I don't have this problem - well certainly not every 5 minutes at least. I guess that I do have to fiddle with the needle valve occasionally, certainly as the weight of fuel in the tank decreases, but then I don't have the tank as high as Taylors say I need it.

Any ideas?
Not really, but:
- The tank cap is open, obviously?
- Do you have the fuel filter unit installed? (not sure if this was always standard)
- Could the heater be warming the tank, thus changing the fuel viscosity..?

thanks for suggestions so far. I still have the problem with the tank cap removed, There is no filter fitted and if I disconnect below the drip feed the flow (into a collection tin) is constant. Still going nuts!
