Taxi to Corfu from Vlikho

We need to get from Vlikho to Corfu on Saturday26th July 2014.hoping someone can give recommendations on costs of and recommendations of reliable taxis.etc.Thanks

Hi John, welcome to the forum.
We find the best way is catch the bus up to Lefkas (less than E2 each) and then the coach to Igoumenitsa (about E12.60 each) and then the ferry to Corfu town (about E10 each). Another way is a 1 way car hire from Nidri to Igoumenitsa (about E85 plus fuel) plus the ferry. The taxi option Vliho to Igoumenitsa is about E140 plus ferry. Or maybe a bus to Lefkas and another to Preveza airport and a flight to Corfu airport. All based on last years costs.

If you contact Vlikho Yacht club they may have good local taxi recommendations.. They will taxi you themselves to at least Preveza airport (approx E40). We have done one way hire car and taxi to corfu, but we are happy with bus service (if not carrying to much). We just sit back and enjoy the views.

Good idea re Vlikho Yacht Club--I will see if there is an alternative to my expensive 150 EUR taxi from Igoumenitsa. I would have taken the bus except the schedule only shows one bus on Sundays, at 4 PM, which would mean an evening in boring Vlikho rather than the high seas... Still looking for someone to share that taxi on 18 May, though.
