Don't know how to make an old post jump to top so reposting - sorry if I have made a fundamental breach of etiquette!

Kovalam, Brightlingsea on Sat 5 April - 7.30pm?

Sat HW Harwich is 1211 BST. Sorry it would mean an early start for any wanting to catch the tide coming from the North but the RaySand should be OK for those coming out of the Crouch.

I hpe now to launch Flipper that day and be on the Cindry pontoons and will have beer and Pimms onboard (no Duval I'm afraid) and I would guess that Jon will be back running the watertaxi by then but will need to confirm nearer the date, otherwise dinghies would be needed.

Rules of dining - pay own drinks - split food bill by number of diners - OK for all?

Is it my intention to attend.
It is rather depends on some decent weather /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif to get Sirenia over to the coast and launched.
The rest of this weekend looks rubbish and next weekend's forecast is not nice.

We're planning to leave Ipswich for the Blackwater on the 5th and would love to stop at Brightlingsea and meet up. 2 adults 2 children but fairly weather sensitive - family won't do the wallet if it's blowing a hoolie

The senior management on Sabre have a similar opinion of the Wallet - sometimes justified. The final trip last year was no wind, flat sea and sunny so I stuck the tillerpilot on and we sat on the foredeck all the way from Walton to the Colne. At least I can say "ah, but don't you remember....." when the groans start shortly! Of course, if I had a big boat like yours it would be easy /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Sorry I can't make the curry do. Darn it.

I have decided to keep Sirenia at home this weekend.

Still hope to get there.

The Plan (Plan C) is to bring her down to Levington next Friday evening and launch then.
All things being o.k. we will sail round on Saturday.

Peter

Thanks for the information.
The attraction of Levington is that is is a short drive from the A14.
Sirenia on her trailer behind the Range Rover is quite a big load.
I don't fancy taking her into a town center.

There is a high probability that we will make it to the curry night.
If we do I can confirm that there will be 3 of us.
Is the harbor launch working or is it a dinghy job?

Peter. not going to make it!,No2 daughter & children down from Scotland for the week, and Med delivery trip has delayed launch date.......probably another couple of weeks. Regards to all and have a good evening.

Peter

we're still on although looking worriedly at the bbc forecast of snow for sunday. if it stays that way we may have to bypass brightlingsea and head straight down the blackwater to the mooring.

plan a is to leave ipswich at o-crack-sparrowfart on saturday and be in b'sea by lunchtime

hope to see you there. we are "Marmalade" on vhf (no dsc i'm afraid)

Simon
