Target HF3 HF receiver

I would be interested to know if anyone has managed to wire a set of headphones to a HF3 receiver.
Mine came with just one jack plug socket for the data cable for weather faxes and stuff but nowhere for any headphones.

Mine has 2 sockets , one for headphones, wich is also used to send the signal to computer when in use.
The other is marked w/fax which I have never used.

Ther are various models denoted by a suffix behind the hf3.
eg hf3w. The only difference between them is the connection to the jack socket on the back.
You can try plugging your headphones into this jack. It is mono 3.5mm. You may find it works ok. You cannot harm the unit, it is well protected.

Mine is wired directly into the 12v distribution panel on the boat, as it is designed to do, I believe. So any reasonably clean 12v supply should work.
