Hello from Florida

Looking at 2007 Targa 40.

Doing visual today.

2007
600 hours on D6-310 DP
100 hours on generator “Onan”
In North Carolina on the hard
Bottom painted including outdrives

Can not find any posts regarding real problems with hull but some posts about issues with the D6-310 DP’s.

Looking to use as a 10-15 year cruise ship around Florida and Bahamas.

Any info advice suggestions appreciated.

I had a t40.

Cracking boat. No real issues.

The outdrives have external steering rams. They will leak every 2 years and need replacing.

The plate holder next to the sink does not have a drain in it so tends to get water in the bottom. I never bothered but fitting a drain would not take long ( remove fridge )

Engine access is ok and I had a portable washing machine in the engine room

I had a 2001 one with Kad 44's. With the D6 it should really fly.
Great hull crossed from Mallorca to mainland Spain in mine on the delivery trip. No worries!
