TAPPETS ON A TAMD63P

Is there a recommended service interval for tappets (reset) on a TAMD63P ???. If so is it a job best done by a "professional" or is DIY possible????.

I think you mean valve clearances, there are no tappets. The answer is yes but look in the manual. from memory it is about 500 hours.

Valves are easy to do, took us about 1 hour to do both engines.

How much do you charge for a full service on a Petrol engine? 4.3l Mercruiser, and my Jeep needs doing too!

They are easy but don't try yourself. If you get it wrong you wreck the engine

Clearances are 0.50mm inlet & 0.65mm exhaust.
