Tap / spout? for water foot pump?

Fed up with the leaking Whale hand pump, I've added a Whale baby foot pump instead. I've removed the tap's inner tube and epoxied up the top, but, as you can see in the pic, it still leaks.

I'm just not sure what to replace this with (any more epoxy will make it look awful). I just want a 'spout' as don't want / need a tap that turns on off - but can't seem to find one anywhere. What should I search for? The only thing I've found on line is vid of a couple who made their own out of copper pipe and elbow joints...

As Stemar said ....

You might have to make a washer to hide the screwholes when you remove the old one.

We use a standard stainless steel household spout with our Whale foot pump. It is better quality and sturdier than most "marine" alternatives.
They (we have 4 identical spouts) can be seen in the photo below:

That’s a lovely looking boat, and a long way from the interior of the Foxcub/ Foxterrier/ Foxhound series of boats owned the OP and myself. I wish I had space to fit 4 spouts. Your two basins are the size of the entire galley in the bigger Foxhound

Thanks.

You should still be able to find a household spout that is suitable for a small boat sink. In some European countries, tiny sinks are sometimes installed in small toilet spaces often under the stairs. These sinks require a correspondingly small spout. Frequently, they have a small lever at the end of the spout that functions as the tap (because there is no room for a conventional tap). This can be left permanently open when used with a foot pump.

Just one spout is fine if you don’t need options such as salt water, filtered drinking water, and regular water from the main tank.

My Foxhound in my avatar has a stainless cranked swan neck spout that is mounted into the sidewall of the basin. It pivots on its mounting axis to fold down sideways inside the basin when not required leaving a clear level space above that I cover with a square chopping board to make a galley surface.

Very much unlike your boat, and as much as I love my Foxhound, it could be in the Oxford English as the definition of MAB

That looks nice but does it swivel side to side ?
No, that is a fixed spout.

I am not a great fan of swiveling spouts on a yacht as they seem to frequently leak, probably as a result of knocking the spout at some stage, perhaps when the yacht has heeled unexpectedly. There is nothing to damage or leak with a fixed spout connected to a foot pump.

However, this is personal preference. If you prefer a swiveling spout, household models with this feature are certainly available, but maybe not in the smallest sizes as smaller sinks are less likely to need this feature.

If we’re into galley sink sharing. We have a mixture.

Left to right

Domestic minoblock mixer tap off the pressurised system. (But can be operated off a foot pump in extremis)

Outlet for watermaker to test water prior to allowing it to deliver to tanks

Sea water hand pump for supplying sea watef for rinsing dishes/vegetables etc etc.

The outlet for the watermaker can be moved up and down and side to side.

Go and visit a caravan retail outlet - caravans use small sinks and their prices tend to be lower than for marine fittings.

We bought some plastic fittings from Temu or Aliexpress - but this was some years ago - they lasted well but I don't recall a brand (but they were cheap as chips). There was lots of choice - I don't know why China is a source of reasonable plastic taps

A potential problem with domestic fittings and those for caravans, but not those made from plastic, is they are not commonly designed for use with salt water (if you have salt water at the sink).
