Its a bit tame but worth a view, the tanker captain spends a lot of time saving a catamaran but has to ram him first .
reassuring to know they are prepared to help pleasure boats.

Actually not a tanker....It looks like a 20,000 ton bulk cargo ship similar to the Cardiff Class built at Upper Clyde with Hagglund cranes... Mind you a good bit of ship handling considering and I think it fair to say he no more than nudged the cat and it was a pity the crew didn t get the heaving line down th
Ships arent the most manoeverable of things with their single screw and high bridges .

Ships do stop at sea for leisure sailors in trouble and often pass down food, water and diesel.

One typical story was the QE or QM which had stopped mid ocean and the yachtie was making a complete hash of getting to the boarding station. I forget if it was Capt Treasure Jones or Capt Warwick Senior However the skipper go annoyed and suggested the yacht lay dead in the water and he would bring his ship alongside the yacht. The pair of them were both characters from a bygone age . :D
