A neat idea I nicked off my neighbour, who in turn had nicked it from someone else.

Shock cord clips and a couple of cable ties. The clips all slide into a lump when stowing.

But doesn't it make you look like one of those booring little pharts with dull little podgy wives who keeps his immaculate little ship in some full service marina somewhere and never actually sails it?
Sure my tied on at both ends with a bit from the scran bag does just as good!

We more often than not moor stern-to, anyway.

Not a bad idea for one or two of the very large ones to clip the cable onto one of the stern lines though instead of letting it fall into the water!

Hic!

Neat idea, but wouldn't you have to dismantle the socket from the wire in order to attach the shock-cord hooks? I suppose one could always attach them with short lengths of shock-cord, but that would be an awful faff...

Looks neat but a lot of fiddle? We just run it along the side deck we don't walk along.

:D :D :D

I was thinking same, When I am on-board mine spends 90% of its life in the stern locker... b

Then I don't have teak decks and the boats not kept on shore power, then if ever I have to rewire the plug I will stick a couple on :o

Accidently strayed from the lounge?
Polite company only here.:nonchalance:

I tend to leave ours on the deck, but as a result have more than occasionally slipped as the cable rotates. So this could indeed help prevent the transit of another tedious person (of average stature and flatulence) into the marina. Or for that matter his partner - more lissom than he, it is emphasised, also for safety reasons. Looking at the original photos, however, I would also suggest wrapping the spare flex around the pontoon socket box, if possible.
