Tamd63 dip stick tube dia?

If you pm me your email I will send photos.

Thanks chaps - I have chemical cleaned cooling towers before serving large chillers, many (many) years ago, I now recall the frothing but almost certainly would not have done so unless reminded, so thanks for that - large flushing tank capacity....

Mmmm I do like the idea of doing two engine at once, from a time perspective, perhaps in parallel though so that you don't flush any bits through into the second engine? Pump to tee then engine inlets and one pipe from each engine back into the flushing tank, so you can ensure both engines are getting equal flow.

Not sure yet whether to reverse-flow or not? My logic being that any bits of impeller or building bricks that have by-passed the SW filter might also get flushed out (highly unlikely?). I may decide once I have inspected the impellers mind you, you can never be sure what previous owners may have done. I have never had any overheating problems even on a 3 day 500nm run a couple of years ago, only lots of short hops since then.

All good advice and any further thoughts welcome - I go out second week of October, which is when I hope to do the work.

I also like the 63ps, they always start on the button, are easy to understand and just seem to me (a novice on diesel engines) to be a reliable workhorse sort of an engine.
