After at least 18 months of blankness (I've been meaning to replace them) the engine hour displays suddenly sprang into life over the weekend showing, as I suspected, that our engine hours are 994 – therefore closing on the 1000 mark.

We've had the engines "serviced" each year since we've owned them (oil, filters, belts, anodes and coolant) but I wonder whether there is anything major required for the 1000 hours. The engines themselves are getting on for 23 years old

Does anybody know where I can obtain a service schedule for them please?

My 63p’s are 2001 and 1100 hrs new injectors last year, cleaned inlet manifolds all gummed up, new turbos this year.
When was the last time you inspected the water injection exhaust bends?

Wouldn't have thought new turbos would have been required at 1100 hrs? On the grand scale of things it not a lot of running time.

With the turbos it’s corrosion and blade tip wear also exhaust gas going past seals and gumming up the inlet manifold.

Injectors , some were not spraying evenly or cracking off at the correct pressure decided to replace with service exchange units.
