a friend of mine is sailing on one at the moment, they were due to leave Portsmouth last Friday bound for Falmouth, don't think they will have much fog with this wind.
Re Alec's you tube video, they were 'Royalist' (Sea Cadets), either 'Prince William' or 'Stavros Niarchos' (Tall Ships Youth Trust), and 'Christian Radich' (I think) really stomping along in a grand finale!
Rick's fine photo looks like the Jubilee Sailing Trust barque 'Tenacious'
Correction - maybe not 'Tenacious', possibly 'Stadt Amsterdam'?
Right first time, it was Tenacious. We'd been in Alum bay as the fog closed in and wimped out of the trip to Weymouth. Tenacious plugged on though, and made it - I remember reading the report on the JST website.

Saw the Grand Turk bowling along off Dover, no camera on board! Could have kicked myself

Not as hard as I kicked myself when I got back from the Tall Ships Race from Antwerp to Aalesund and found a completely blank film that hadn't engaged with the spool.
