I thought the BCYA rally started saturday so thought I would make the most of mermaid quay today. Went over about 2 o clock, absolutely packed. Looks like its going to be quite a weekend

It's even busier today, drove over to see the food & drink festival and found Mermaid Quay absolutely packed, 2 & 3 abreast in places. Looked very colourful with all the flags flying. It'll be a good party, sadly we can't take the boat over as the MiL's visiting and she's not mad keen on the boat /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
 
Pretty gutted we missed it AGAIN this year, we went to best mates 50th birthday party instead. but went for a stroll sat afternoon and visited the food fair which was very well attended. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
 
We went over Saturday morning. It was busy with a dozen or so French racing boats as well as the BCYA rally. The French left at lunchtime making a bit more room. Really excellent weekend again ,our thanks to the organizers.

We had a few visitors aboard during the weekend.Most seemed happy with a drop of red wine only one opted for milk and biscuits /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Crikey! Your photos make the ones I posted seem empty. Things did get busier Saturday.

Brilliant time, I invited everyone from the forum over for unlimited free drinks but no-one came! (Apart from Csail who cunningly sent his wife and young son over on the pretence of watching the fireworks!!!)
I thought it was mobo envy but I later found that the post-it note I had used to write the invitation on had blown away!!
ah well perhaps next time!
