Now I know it's not fashionable on here to listen to people that know what they are talking about, but I did this morning and would like to pass it on.
Our spray hood has been to the clinic to get the plastic Windows replaced. They are generally a pain to refit back onto the frame and poppers etc. The tip I was given is to fit it roughly in place and then get the hose out and give it a good soaking.

This works for cockpit tents and biminis too.
