But where is it?
Thought it was Harty at first, but the buoys don't look right. Then I thought there was a hint of the Grain Chimney in the distance, but that couldn't be right either.
So where is it?

Its West Mersea, I think the Grain chimney is the Nass beacon!

The vessel behind is the Dunkirk Little Ship RllSl if that is how it is spelt (ex White Heather) built in 1920 odd, with the Smack behind that, it could almost be a scene from 80 years ago. it was a breathtaking sight and one of the ones that make you realise why you bought a boat. I am tempted to post it on Scuttlebuck to show them how dreadfully crowded and hectic it all is on the East coast, but we dont want to get them all up here.

80 years ago you would probably have seen the Nass exposed there at LW to starboard.

By the way. Just round the corner in the Stour, there were about 30 boats anchored at Erwarton. Many of which were on the Essex side. Never seen so many. It was magic anchoring just as the sun was going down.

Oh, there. Makes sense now. I be a stranger in them parts (even if, as TG points out, I sat on that very buoy a few weeks ago).
