Any tips on how best to get food delivery when on the boat?. Will be at anchor not a marina we so need to select a location for delivery, I suppose delivery guy needs a postcode. Is there any reluctance to deliver to a random address if already paid for?

I’ve had takeaways delivered to a deserted-looking boatyard a few times. Main advice I can give is to make sure you‘re there when the driver arrives, as they may not wait and may not phone even if you left a number.

Have done this while on a narrowboat a few times. Delivery people can get a bit miffed trying to locate a black boat in the dark. Deliveroo are good if you are in a covered area.

Some companies will have an issue if you pay by debit or credit card and want the food delivered to an address that the card isn’t registered at. I guess this is an opportunity to use cash.

Why does anyone need food delivered to their boat, when Fray Bentos is freely available?
The desire for food?

Even if Fray Bentos were free it does not mean that anyone should be forced to eat one

While I wouldn't go so far as to to call consumption a cruel and unusual punishment, it still seems to me that their best use is as a weapon to deter pirates

Think you will find the same level of dubious meat source in most Takeaways as well as Fray Bentos pies these days! The OP must be in a tight spot to have to call out for a takeaway... keep some simple pasta on board and a nice bottle of red to get you out of trouble... you might feel a little horse in the morning otherwise!
