is it as good as the adverts say it is? need to fit depth and log - but which brand is best? anyone with experience?

Fitted the log and depth to a previous boat. Worked well, and did what it says on the tin ...

We had log., depth and wind instruments fitted 3 years ago along with three displays - a single line digital, a dual line digital and a digi./analoge for wind. Although you can get almost any display to display any data I liked the idea of minimising button pressing. Normally we have depth on the single line display and GPS info. on the dual. We had teething troubles with the wind transducer [unit replaced] but are otherwise very happy with the system. It's good to be able to unclip the displays and bring them home for the Winter. Yes, they're pricey but I hope never to have to buy again.
