Hi, I cannot contact them, their phone is engaged permanently and their web site seems to have frozen.

Agree, website working but phone engaged. Probably lots of forumites calling them to check if they're engaged or not.![]()
I have now got into it, and filled in the support form, but it won't go, and wants a serial number. I don't know the number but have put something in the box, and now its frozen again!
There is a place on the site which shows you where to find the serial number.
I had a problem quite recently, sent in the support form with correct serial number, and had a helpful response quite quickly.
It is a bit awkward getting the serial number if your problem is with the masthead wind instrument though.
Fortunately mine wasn't, but the numbers are very small and in a dark corner of the hull needed a good torch and a magnifying glass.
You could try contacting whoever you got the Tacktick stuff from - some will keep records of serial numbers.
