Using a Nexus 7 with Android 4.3 works very well. Nexus with Android 4.4 requires rooting.

Haven't tried it underwater yet - can't get to the boat until later this week

Seems pretty good value for just over 10 quid.

I don't think the Nexus is waterproof

Not sure how well IP66 would cope with a prop inspection?

But for £10 one check works for me.
