Whilst in the lounge last night I noticed the icebucket on the bar and I thought "It would be nice to have an ice-maker on the boat".

Hmmm, SWMBO would be really impressed to have ice on tap! Sangria and ICE, Bacardi & Coke and ICE, Scotch on the rocks, Gin & Tonic and ICE - I can't wait /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Any recommendations as to a good make of ice-maker?

most powerboats seem to use 240 volt icemakers, i think? I did have a 24v icemaker but it couldn't really hack med heat - when you need it. Unles you plan monster onboard parties and have decent genny, best wd be to buy ice in bags and keep the fridge turned down, surely? If your do haev an icemaker, you need an ice crusher as well, otherwise you won't be able to have decent margueritas and obviously will be hugely embarassed.

This the least yottie thread i have ever seen on sbutt!
