Should have a continous rope going from the eye on the bucket in the pic,up the outside of the snuffer ,over a block or stainless ring on the top end of the tube ,then back down inside to an eyelet on the opposite side of the bucket.This needs to be approx 6 to 8mm braided line ,and longer than the total length of the tube by at least 10 ft.
The sail should be fixed on a strop inside the tube at least 15" long ,this is where the tube scrunched up sits at the top of the sail when in use.

Sorry looking at the next pic I would say its got a bit missing at the top.It needs webbing loops to secure the block and take the sail head strop.They are not sewn on the top ?.unless still hidden inside..?
