T40 Extractor Fan Vent Cap

Hi All

Lovely weekend out on the water and handling my T40 like a dream after some Mendez tuition.

As I was putting the fenders out my unsubtle stomping round the deck found itself taking out and cracking the starboard side extractor vent - plastic mushroom looking thingy..

Anyone know where to get a replacement? Tried Bates Wharf online shop but can’t see one on there..

I replaced mine as it was cracked as well.

I can’t remeber where I got it from ( long time ago ) but it is a standard vent kit part. I seem to recall it had a name / initials on it ?

Looking on ASAP supplies or similar will probably find you a match.

Glad the boat is going well. I loved my t40 cracking boat.

Hi , not sure if be any help but my Targa 40 is fitted with the Vetus stainless one and seen quite few others with same..

this is exact one on link, top left " Vetus Portos Mushroom Ventilator" they obv adjustable so screw up and down so dont stick out much ..

few others on there too if you want to replace with the white plastic ones again..

The OE vent cap was supplied by EC Smith. I think I last got one in Force 4, but you'll find it on the EC Smith website regardless.

You have to think of them as a consumable, because (bizarrely imho) they don't appear to be uv stablised, so after about three years they become discoloured and brittle and you'll want to change it again.

Thanks, will have to choose between OEM or bling stainless!
