Of to Sydney for the boat show at darling Harbour/Cockle Bay Marina. checking on boats up to 40 ft to develop my business plan for offering mile building only for clients who complete RYA qualifications in Australia. on show will be beneteau, jeanneau, hunter, hanse, and some others

can I fit one onto my credit card....and will I get fly mile points

a beautiful weekend in Sydney. a great show. The only concern for me was the disturbing prevalence of even larger boats with no traveller. Instead, a 2 point fixed pulley system on the centre of the coach roof. clearly marketing only for inshore cruising. But in Australia, unlike UK, Europe, USA, we do not have loads of destinations with bar/disco/marina etc and cruisers need to travel further afield. Open sea without a traveller? not me.

redeeming feature was the opportunity to see Hunter Yachts display. Love the Hunter 40 so could be a plan. will charter the Hunter 36 in Sydney in December to get a feel for liveaboard.

I'd have gone along as I flew into Sydney on Saturday morning from UK (currently in Canberra on business), but the weather was fantastic - I barely noticed the difference from the alleged heatwave we've been enjoying in the UK - so I couldn't decline sailing in the harbour both days instead!

With a winter this warm, you guys have it all! Where's that jealousy emoticon gone...
