Last Sunday we headed to a small patch of sunshine off Priory Bay on IOW and had a lovely family lunch on board followed by afternoon swim. Then decided to potter into Bembridge for tea, the water in the channel was pretty low but OK, however just when we were coming through the narrow entry to the harbour muggins lost concenration and strayed from the depths. Depth alarm sounded - straight into neutral and legs up (no damage thank goodness) and we gently drifted onto the sand. Kath (she who must be worshipped for this) immediately kicked off her deckies, pulled off her trousers and leapt over. A good hard shove got us off the sand but left her some distance away and trouserless - hurried to get tied up alongside the pontoon but by the time I sent number one son running over with mum's trousers she was only a few yards away.....think I probably owe her a couple of dinners.

Hmmm... if you ever want to trade her in I might be interested!

Mine would have berated me and pointed out where I might have done better (to put it mildly)

Glad you're ok

We were at a posh hotel in the Canarys some place, Kids had made a raft out of a washed up pedillo, bits of string and a lump of wood. It was moored right in front of the hotel. Anyway Tutts was all dressed up in evening gown waiting among every one else for dinner. Kids shout OUR BOATS LOOSE. Tutts, without pause, kicks her high heels off, charges through the crowd, whilst deftly tucking ball gown into knickers. Wades out to sea and rescues half a pedillo, the old branch and the bits of string!! Calmly rejoined the queue for dinner whilst rearanging frock and knickers...../forums/images/icons/laugh.gif
