Hi Forum

We have a 12 switch unit from SEA DOG and a couple of the switches will not illuminate and the electrical unit they are attached to will not work. I tested it with a volt meter and it is the fuse unit that is blocking the electricity .... but I can't see how to change the fuse. The square plastic bits that say "fuse" push in a couple of mms but don't pop out to reveal a fuse as I hoped. Are they mini trip switches or is something broken.

thanks

This design usually has a tiny slot at the top (or maybe sides or bottom) of the square fuse holder. Push a jeweller's screwdriver blade in and it should just pop out. There is a tiny clip in the hole.

Hi Simon, To acces the fuse you have to locate the catch at the left side of the fuse carrier, it is a small hole which you push a paper clip end into or the point of a pen, when you push the catch the fuse will pop out.

Ditto Willie and dipper - Similar panel.... I couldnt get the fuses out for ages, even by pushing a thin screwdriver into the slot on the side of the fuse holder - didnt want to force it for fear of breaking it.

Tried again the other day, (a year from my last try), and out they popped.... it must be something to do with the action.

It sometimes helps to take the load off the clip by pushing the red square in lightly with your finger. Then you push the catch in the hole and with the catch pressed in, release the pressure on your finger.
