We currently have a pontoon berth in Martlesham on the Deben, unfortunately we are very limited by the tide which is pretty inconvenient. We’re looking for a swinging mooring either on the Deben or preferably the Orwell the boat in question is 23’ L.O.A and draws 3’6” if anyone knows of sub-let or has any suggestions I’d be very glad of the help!

The Royal Harwich have vacant moorings for a boat your size at Wolverstone if you want to join the club.

Worth trying the Fairways Committees on the Deben, particularly Kyson FC as temporary moorings may well be available for a boat of that size. PM me for details. Alternatively Woodbridge Boatyard (Eversons) or Waldringfield Boatyard may have something.

What sort of prices do they charge and how friendly is the club? I'm interested because it's a nice spot.

The club is extremely friendly, we have been members for about 30 years, there are lots of members with young families, and lots of child/youth friendly activities. It has one of the best sites on the East Coast, all in my humble opinion.

Re costs, have a look on the Club website, www.royalharwichyachtclub.co.uk, I do know there are a number of half tide moorings available, not sure about deep water.
