Whats a littlejohn? in nautical terms, I have one listed in the inventory, what is it?

Searched these forums and found a reference to an outboard bracket, but I have an outboard well.

Still trying to find out what 2 mstery fittings are on the transome, see my post on page 2, was the littlejohn attached to these.

I am currently in the market for a trailer sailer and am interested in the Swift 18.
Judging by your name I assume you own one!

I have a young family and we will mainly use it for daysailing, coastal and non tidal.

How do you find the boat for sailing, trailing and launching?
are the well built?
is there a 'better version' or are they all the same?

I have searched the web but cannot find an owners association or any owner information

Any help would be very much appreciated
