Hi. We are planning a one-year Atlantic Circuit leaving UK in autumn 06 and doing the ARC 06.
We own a Hallberg Rassy 39 but she's too small for the three adults and two children who will be on board for the year. So we are looking for a cruising yacht of c 50ft (could be bigger, or a bit smaller) with three sleeping cabins and two heads minimum. Ideally something fairly modern (say up to 10 years old).
In return, we have the HR39 and a South Coast UK marina second home (where she is berthed) to swap. If there's a financial adjustment either way we can discuss that.
The adults are all experienced, and two are former Merchant Navy officers and deep water experienced (3rd in class in AZAB 04).
Anyone with the reciprocal requirements - please say! Or anyone with any ideas on how to find that person/boat, please also say. We have advertised in the yachting press and through our membership of RSYC and the Cruising Association - any other thoughts about locations to advertise welcome.
