Im trying to sell my chopper at moment and am interested in buying a boat. Just wondering if anyone had opposite trade on and might want to do a px. cut out the middle man!!
Its a 2004 R44 raven 11. Only 145 hours on engine and just having its annual service and c of a.
I would be interested in something in 40 to 50 ft sportscruiser area.

Just seen your video of callum. Looks like he had as much fun in the rain as he did in the sun.

I like the last bit where he sits down and shuffles to get down the slope to the tractor. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

You can carry on with the post now about Swap Helicopter for Boat

Essex Boat Yard will take anything in PX, and I'm sure they'd have a boat too suit you.

Cheers

And, they have a helo landing pad :-)

Clear off, I saw it first........... /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Need 45 hours minimum 10 of which has to be solo then a CAA medical and then there are seven written exams......Human performance, Aviation Law, Meteorology, Navigation, Airframes & Engines Communications and Flight performance.

When I started to learn they fitted big coil spring to the skids I was that [--word removed--] ! :-)

Anybody finding a Boat too cheap to run really should consider a Helicopter.

B.O.A.T will seem tame by comparison /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I've a lovely S23 for you - Can throw the GF in with the deal also if you fill the chopper with fuel before swap /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

well spotted jfm, thats the one. You could go to Florida and have your licence within a month. Could do same here but weather might have other ideas and even after sterlings beating today probably still cheaper in the states.
As far as running costs I used to have a Windy 31 and I recon annual running costs not much different from an R44. You can keep it in your garden if its big enough.

I reckon either Nautical or jfm could have a great new flybridge accessory coming! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

*Looks out to sea*

"Oh, is that Abramovich?"

"Oh no. That, my dear, is the legendary jfm/Nautical" (delete as appropriate) /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Apologies for thread drift - but what would the running costs be of something like that? How much fuel would she consume, and what about servicing?

I've got a helicopter which I'd be prepared to swap for something like an Absolute 47:

We could make a syndicate and do it 50-50? 50% of a helicopter is plenty for me :-)

You could commute S.Coast UK to the Rock? I'd commute Buckinghamshire to Biggin Hill to get on a plane to S France :-)

That's not a bad offer given that the helo isn't exactly in mint condition after an altercation with the door to the study!
