just got in following a trip back from swanage bay... (barry.. were quits now eh?)

thanks to all esp' col and vicky for the invite..... as it happened i was at the wrong pier..... not the one near the pub (doh) watched as a grey rib made its way accross the bay to the "other pier"..... sorry.....

still, the beer was ok. managed to do a deal with the water taxi...Martin Slater on 07802 480139 (quid a trip), to take me out to the raft of nice boats.....

great company, good chat, and some poofy pink wine... sorry 'bout that duncan! but it all went down the same way... wasn't expecting food but the nackered chef rustled up a feast, and fine it was too.... it was good to see you all again, and this time i didn't upset anyone! (as far as i'm aware) thank you lisa for dropping me home and to barry for trusting me with his boat again (after last time!)

can't spell footnote.... so i shan't add one, but thanks all for a really nice evening out.

steve.

Great to see you Steve - we (Col, Geoffs, Duncan, Barry and me crews) had a great night - Duncan was a star on the BBQ and Col a great hostess - not sure about his legs though !!

The rest of us came back over this morning - my slowness is down to fuel starvation - ( and the boats .....) thanks guys for the escort !!

Truly a great evening on Saturday. thanks for the hospitality Col.

Left the 'raft' at 7:15am on Sunday, tried to be as quiet as a mouse with size 15 cloggs. A bleary eyed Duncan peers out from under the canopy. 'Sorry Duncan, did I wake you'

'Ugh' came the reply. Not a pretty sight, early man!

I guess we should appolgise to the poor man in the sailing boat, who rather flipped seeing a raft of 5 boats drifting towards him, with Col's anchor ploughing a deep furrow in the Swanange sand, they're all down the pub, leaving me to throw out every anchor I can find. Managed to bring the whole lot to a halt before we reached the Nedles. That was the fastest Adrian's boat had moved all week.

Col, when in two metres of water, 1.5 metres of chain ain't enough!!/forums/images/icons/smile.gif

Still, all good fun, must do it again next year.

Vicky,Lian & I really had a good time too. Sorry I missed you all Sunday, but we stayed around in Studland after escorting Sandra as far as the chain ferry.

Thanks to Duncan for chef duties. Excellent job.
It was good to see you all again, and yes, the fireworks were good!
