went for the red arrows, with a view to, if it's OK, stay for the firework display,

left mooring, set off, weather forecasters said calm to slight sea state, liars, anyway, crashed and bashed our way to Swanage, stayed for the arrows and returned home as in our little boat it just didn't stop rolling and veering on the hook, not comfortable at all, ( got to get me one of those bigboy V58 he hardly moved, the wine in their glasses never spilled a drop) it was a slight sea state in the bay!

an excellent display as always

Super shots, shame I missed you. Looking through some of my pictures I think I might be able to see you. Are you on the left of the photo, rafted to a blue hulled boat.

This is digitally zoomed, so not very sharp. I'm on the right, rafted to a Fletcher with a red hull stripe. We may not have been far away.

Ah yes I can see you, pity I didn't look closer yesterday.

Whilst not a perfect day, it was the nearest we've had to summer for a while. It sounds like you didn't stay for the fireworks, they were very good, as well.

We were fully intending to come around, but had a journey from hell down to the boat - a car fire on the M3 meant stationary traffic for almost two hours and our normal 2 hour journey took 5 and a half hours. By the time we got to the boat we'd missed the 2:30 bridge by a country mile, and although we intended to come out for the fireworks, the horror stories of other returning boaters about the state of the sea put us off.

In the end, despite being very tempted we didn't come and that was the wrong decision as the wind dropped right away by about 9 and it must have been good for the fireworks. One of these days we will get it right.......

Come on you guys, join me, Hurricane, Medskipper, et al here in Sant Carles - its not the weather that decides when you go out, its the whether we shall go out once, twice or thrice today, almost everyday! Three forumites recently in the lagoon:
