Interesting trip and nice blog.

Kerry Coast - Mount Brandon - Highest Mountain in Ireland

[/ QUOTE ]Just to correct your blog, Mount Brandon is only 953m (3127') high wheras Carrauntoohill (Corrán Tuathail) is 1039m (3409') high making it the highest peak in Ireland, not Mount Brandon.

There are actually two other peaks in Ireland of over 1000m (Beenkeragh at 1,010m, and Caher at 1,001m).

that's a real treat to see pics of sunshine, and family and dogs enjoying sailing, especially in today's met conditions.

Thanks for posting such a cheerful set.

I really must try and get further round than Waterford this year. The trouble is we get waylaid by the pubs on our travels, get hangovers and miss tides, then run out of time, and have to go home!

Well if you ever do get the time, the Cork and Kerry SW coast is a sailing paradise with many unspoiled pubs and restaurants, some even on tiny Islands. There are so many unspoiled and scenic anchorages, with plenty of well maintained visitor mooring buoys. Places like Kinsale, Baltimore, Schull, Sneem, Lawrance Cove and Dingle are one of lifes treats. Mind you I sudder to think what it is like out there right now. Three large fishing trawlers have been lost in the last week off the SE coast due to all the storms /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
