Suzuki DT8 8hp 2-stroke outboard

Hi folks,
I have just purchased one of these Suzuki 8hp 2 cylinder outboards circa 1984.
Are they any good, and where will I get spare parts in the UK?
Is there any websites that have eploded diagrams/drawings/ info etc...

Ive been using a Yamaha 4hp on my E-Boat, but want some more power, so I picked up one of these engines cheap, knowing that the previous owner had difficulty starting it, and had problems with it cutting out when the throttle was chopped. Ideas? Sounds like fuelling to me.

Easiest thing is to delete all the text save for a short message that says "Whoops wrong forum" and then post in the correct forum

If It cannot be corrected with carb adjustments, sparks are good and plugs good probably needs a carb clean Will choking it help to keep it running? Check plugs and sparks first

Do a compression test if possible
