Can I convert my DF 6hp from manual to Morse control and what is involved. The boat already has the control handle and cables installed, originally for a Yamaha.

Yep. It's a bit of a minefield. You need the conversion kit for your exact model. Don't go shopping for used ones on ebay. You'll end up with a pile of bits you can't seem to fit anywhere on the motor.
It'll cost you around £130-£200 judging by what I paid for converting a Tohatsu 5hp to remotes. (I had the advantage of being able to choose between Tohatsu/Mariner/Mercury as they are all the same kit, but at different prices)
