Surveyor Needed in Almerimar

Howdy,

I was hoping to get a few good recommendations Howdy,

I was hoping to get a few good recommendations for a surveyor in Almerimar.

The yacht is 10m LOA.

Whilst I’m on the subject, can anyone tell me any pitfalls of commissioning a survey, any do’s and don’ts, information to specifically ask for etc..

Does a surveyor also give a price for repairs and or replacements of defective equipment and so forth?

I’m quite nervous but excited at the same time, this being my first boat.

My recommendation is to ignore all recommendations from anyone who has not PERSONALLY commissioned that same surveyor to carry out a survey for him in recent times. I hope I've got this post in before anyone else has posted a recommendation!

Sorry don't know of one specifically in that location but IMHO ensure they cover all of:
1. Structure
2. Rig / Rigging
3. Engine
4. Instruments / Gear
I say this as I've seen surveys that don't do all.

No - they rarely quote for any repairs but should isolate whats wrong in enough detail so you can get a quote yourself and deduct that price from your offer.

I saw your old message and presumably you did indeed organise a surveyor.
I am currently considering a yacht based in Almerimar and am also looking for a good surveyor.
Was your survey/purchase successful? More importantly were you happy with the survey and would you recommend the surveyor?
