1) Prime and protect engine mounts due corroion (honest !!)
2) Remove and refit cockpit hatch teak deck ( is that possible???- glued down)
3) Refasten straboard pulpit (??)
4) New toilet pump ( manual)

Only really pricey thing there is the Batteries. The rest of the stuff is day-to-day and/or annual maintenance and some of it isn't strictly necessary.

Nothing much to worry about there, but does the need for new batteries suggest a very under used (neglected?) boat, for reasons often discussed here that might not be a good thing?

Boat is actually 'unloved' and there are some non-specific 'questions' which need to be sorted.. like 'Whay was there sea-water under the saloon sette ehich di dNOT come from an open porthole...what cn that mean? Why was no solution offered? Why no possibilities??

An answer to that on ewould help !!

The answer is almost definitely yes....which means , engine surveys/oil tests and a full service for everything...unless I don't buy it but therest of survey is OK so ...

I can see the seeds of doubt are there, usualy if everything looks right it is right, if you suspect one piece of neglect then others soon surface.

But Learner you've got to buy soon, can't go through all this stuff too often, so go for it, errr. but maybe not this one...
Seawater under the saloon sounds strange, a broken skin fitting ?

Or B1 has been there to look at it before you and his dog peed on the floor ;-)

If youve paid for a survey which revealed seawater under saloon settee surveyor should be getting to the bottom of it IMHO. Even if he cant determine the cause he should be able to say something like '....no evidence of this water having entered the area through defective hull or skin fittings....'
Either you feel happy and go for it or you dont feel happy in which case let it go....you dont have to buy it ( and I for one promise not to give you a hard time if you dont !) Wot u need three engines for anyway????

Lets all tell him to buy it then we can have lots of threads on how to fix this how to mend that etc, would liven things up a bit ;-)

In reality remember you can always walk away. there are lots of boats for sale out there. If there is anything specific you are looking for I will keep an eye out in the CI for you.

All fairly standard items and nowt to be worried about. Any secondhand boat is going to cost a few bob once you buy it. Use these items to negotiate the price down or insist the seller rectifies them
However, your comment about seawater beneath the settee really does need explanation. What do you mean by this? Actual standing water? A 'tide mark' showing evidence of seawater? Or is it really a freshwater leak? You need to get to the bottom of this and ask your surveyor to explain his comments because if there really is or has been seawater in the accomodation, either it is a leaking hatch or window which is a concern but not a deal breaker or there has been a substantial volume of seawater inside the boat which would make me think very seriously about whether to proceed
