Our Moody 37 survey came to around £500 + vat, (2-3 months ago) but remember that you always should break even on the costs. There shsould be at least enough faults to lower the purchase price by an amount in excess of the survey.
If you are concerned about the cost, phone and ask. But it isn't worth skimping on the survey. I did when I bought Solitaire a year ago, and it cost me.

One surveyor in the Portsmouth area charges £12/ft. I had my 20ft surveyed for £200 all-in from another (Portsmouth area, but travels along south coast for free) - and very happy with his report (not a good report, far from it, but deffinitely very professional and thorough). I am rather shocked at some of the prices quoted above /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Where is the yacht you want surveyed?? I can pass on my surveyors details if you wish (no other connection other than a satisfied customer).
